The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences organised an Orientation Programme for National Service Personnel posted to the School on Monday, 13th November, 2023. Speaking at the programme, the Dean of the School, Prof Elvis Ofori Ameyaw stated that the programme was organised to ensure that the Personnel gain a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities during the service period thereby contributing to a sense of purpose and direction.
A 3-Days training program for newly recruited lecturers in SAHS was held on the 17th October 2023 at SAHS Meeting Room 1, CAALTC. The program was facilitated by Centre for Teaching Support, UCC.

On the 14th of June 2023, the Pharmacy Council Ghana paid a visit to the School of Pharmacy at the University of Cape Coast for re-accreditation. The meeting was held at SoPPS conference room. The team consist of the following dignitaries;
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has awarded nine (9) students at its Dean’s awards ceremony.
The deserving students - from Level 200 to 400, were awarded in recognition of their efforts and distinguishing themselves academically.
The students were awarded in the categories of best-performing student, most improved student, and overall best student among others.

This annual programme was organized by the University of Cape Coast School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (UCC SoPPS) in conjunction with the Central Regional Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) to welcome first-year PharmD students of the School and expose them to the Pharmacy programme and also encourage them. The programme brought together Pharmacists in the Central region to serve as mentors to the pharmacy students and expose them to the various practice areas and job opportunities available in the profession.
The International Brain Research Organization (Africa Regional Committee) school held in Morocco from the 9th to 14th of November 2021 sought to train emerging African Neuroscientists in Bio-informatics and particularly in Neuro-informatics. The workshop involved both academic and social activities.
University of Cape Coast is the newest awardee selected to receive scientific equipment from Seeding Labs’ Instrumental Access program. Instrumental Access makes high-quality laboratory equipment and supplies available to university departments and research institutes in developing countries.
Staffs of the University of Cape Coast SoPPS have won the prestigious research grants across all categories at the just ended Sixth Research Awards and Grants Ceremony held on the 9th December 2021 at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium. The support from the University’s committee is to deepen research, excellence, innovation and technologically entrepreneurship which will accelerate national development.
