The Project Seminar was organised for the PharmD Level 400 students to guide and refine their research skills in preparation for their project work. This seminar occurred on 14th June 2024 at the College of Distance Education Conference Room. SOPPS ORGANISED GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP) TRAINING FOR STAFF MEMBERS

Staff members of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPS) of the University of Cape Coast have received training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at a five-day workshop which took place on the 3rd-7th June, 2024 at the School of Graduate Studies, University of Cape Coast.

The training covered modules such as General Principles, Validation Master Plan, Quality and Validation of Facilities, as well as Cleaning Validation. The rest were Validation of Equipment, Process Validation and Method Validation.

SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES UCC ORGANISES A MAIDEN WHITE COAT CEREMONY FOR 122 PHARM D STUDENT

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has transitioned 122 Doctor of Pharmacy students into the clinical phase of their training at the maiden White Coat ceremony . The ceremony, under the theme: Expanding the frontiers: “Removing the barriers in providing Pharmaceutical Care”, was a rite of passage for the students to obtain practical clinical experiences in their quest to become pharmacists.

TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR PRECEPTORS WITH PROFESSOR JON WIETHOLTER

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science (SoPPS) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, coordinated the training session held at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) conference room on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Professor Jon Wietholter, a Fullbright Specialist, clinical professor from West Virginia School of Pharmacy (WVU), as well as an internal medicine clinical pharmacist from WVU-Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital, served as the facilitator for the event.

2014 ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR NEWLY ADMITTED PHARM D STUDENTS

Prioritizing the welcoming of new students, the School of Pharmacy successfully hosted an orientation program on January 22, 2024, at the CODE conference room, welcoming newly enrolled pharmacy students.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR 2023/2024 NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL POSTED TO SoPPS

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences organised an Orientation Programme for National Service Personnel posted to the School on Monday, 13th November, 2023. Speaking at the programme, the Dean of the School, Prof Elvis Ofori Ameyaw stated that the programme was organised to ensure that the Personnel gain a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities during the service period thereby contributing to a sense of purpose and direction.

A 3-Days Training program by Centre for Teaching Support, UCC

A 3-Days training program for newly recruited lecturers in SAHS was held on the 17th October 2023 at SAHS Meeting Room 1, CAALTC. The program was facilitated by Centre for Teaching Support, UCC.
The facilitators are;

  • Prof. Eric Anane,
  • Dr. Godwin Aboagye and
  • Dr. Kofi Acheaw Owusu.

Pharmacy Council Ghana paid a visit to the School of Pharmacy UCC for re-accreditation.

On the 14th of June 2023, the Pharmacy Council Ghana paid a visit to the School of Pharmacy at the University of Cape Coast for re-accreditation. The meeting was held at SoPPS conference room. The team consist of the following dignitaries;
