CoHAS is a three-tier college consisting of five schools; Nursing and Midwifery, Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Optometry and Vision Science. Each schools with several academic departments. The college is responsible for developing and administering programmes related to the education of healthcare professionals. It is with great pride and admiration that we congratulate Dr. Robert Peter Biney on his well-deserved promotion to the rank of Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Cape Coast. As the Head of the Department of Pharmacotherapeutics, Dr. Binney has consistently demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and leadership. This promotion is a reflection of his remarkable contributions to the field of pharmacy, his commitment to shaping the next generation of pharmacists, and his leadership within the department.

Miss Degley has been elected as the Federation’s Public Relations Officer, both  demonstrating exceptional leadership and communication skills.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPS) successfully organised an orientation programme for the 2024 cohort of National Service Personnel.

The Project Seminar was organised for the PharmD Level 400 students to guide and refine their research skills in preparation for their project work. This seminar occurred on 14th June 2024 at the College of Distance Education Conference Room. The seminar featured interactive sessions between faculty and students, presentations, and opportunities for questions and contributions from all attendees. The Vice-Dean, Dr.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has received books on pharmacy to enhance research and learning. The benevolent gesture was extended to the School by a US-based Philanthropist, Prof. Nelson Kofie, and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Cape Coast, Dr. Elijah Yin.
