TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR PRECEPTORS WITH PROFESSOR JON WIETHOLTER

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science (SoPPS) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, coordinated the training session held at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) conference room on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Professor Jon Wietholter, a Fullbright Specialist, clinical professor from West Virginia School of Pharmacy (WVU), as well as an internal medicine clinical pharmacist from WVU-Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital, served as the facilitator for the event.

The primary objective of the training was to familiarize preceptors with the structured and unstructured training objectives for students, and to train them as role models in fostering professional and ethical values among students, along with providing guidance on assessment methods for the experiential program.
