The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has received a donation of advanced computer equipment from Mariset Company Limited here in Ghana, also known as M-Plaza. The donation, consisting of HP desktop computers, UPS systems, and Lenovo all-in-one computers, is aimed at supporting teaching and learning.

Staff members of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPS) of the University of Cape Coast have received training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at a five-day workshop which took place on the 3rd-7th June, 2024 at the School of Graduate Studies, University of Cape Coast.
The training covered modules such as General Principles, Validation Master Plan, Quality and Validation of Facilities, as well as Cleaning Validation. The rest were Validation of Equipment, Process Validation and Method Validation.
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has transitioned 122 Doctor of Pharmacy students into the clinical phase of their training at the maiden White Coat ceremony . The ceremony, under the theme: Expanding the frontiers: “Removing the barriers in providing Pharmaceutical Care”, was a rite of passage for the students to obtain practical clinical experiences in their quest to become pharmacists.
The Dean's Award ceremony took place on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at the School of Medical Science (SMS) Auditorium, UCC. This event was organized to recognize and commend the top-performing pharmacy students and to inspire them to strive for excellence in future endeavors. Named in honor of the late Professor David Darko Obiri, the first Dean of the School of Pharmacy at UCC, the ceremony commemorated his legacy of dedication and commitment. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science (SoPPS) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, coordinated the training session held at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) conference room on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Professor Jon Wietholter, a Fullbright Specialist, clinical professor from West Virginia School of Pharmacy (WVU), as well as an internal medicine clinical pharmacist from WVU-Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital, served as the facilitator for the event.
Prioritizing the welcoming of new students, the School of Pharmacy successfully hosted an orientation program on January 22, 2024, at the CODE conference room, welcoming newly enrolled pharmacy students.
