2014 ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR NEWLY ADMITTED PHARM D STUDENTS
Prioritizing the welcoming of new students, the School of Pharmacy successfully hosted an orientation program on January 22, 2024, at the CODE conference room, welcoming newly enrolled pharmacy students.
The program saw active participation from the school's management officers, teaching and non-teaching staff, national service personnel, GPSA executives, and incoming students. It covered various aspects including the purpose of the gathering, departmental sensitization, an overview of the Pharm-D program, international collaboration opportunities, introduction to PSGH and its executives, registration procedures, exam policies, and re-sit procedures.
The guest of honor, Alhaji (Dr.) Pharm. Inua I. Yusif, (Esq), addressed the students on the requirements to become a licensed pharmacist and shared insights into the legal aspects of the profession, highlighting numerous opportunities within the legal realm for pharmacists.
Faculty officer Mrs. Nimo provided guidance on navigating relationships on campus, while School Dean Professor Elvis Ameyaw concluded the program with words of advice, emphasizing the importance of cooperative learning and study group approaches for academic success.
